Terms of use
Version 2026-11-03.2
These terms govern the use of the link shortening service operated by [RAZÓN SOCIAL] (RUT [RUT]), “we” below. By creating an account you accept these terms and the Privacy policy.
1. The service
You can turn a long URL into a short link that redirects to the original destination. Redirects use HTTP 302: the destination can change or expire, and the link stops working when it expires or is deactivated.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older [CONFIRM MINIMUM AGE WITH LEGAL ADVISER] and provide truthful information.
- Creating links requires verifying your email address.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password safe. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Plans
| Free | Premium | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | 0 | 3 USD per month (plus taxes, depending on your country) |
| Simultaneous active links | 5 | Unlimited, with a technical anti-abuse cap (10,000 by default) |
| Link lifetime | 24 hours from creation | Between 1 hour and 5 years, or no expiry |
| Custom alias | No | Yes |
| Edit the destination | No | Yes |
| Statistics | Total clicks | Totals and per day (30 days) |
| Support | Not included | By email |
- An expired free link frees its slot immediately.
- Payments and taxes are handled by Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record. Its terms of sale apply to the charge.
- The subscription renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; you keep Premium until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow Paddle’s policy and the consumer protection law that applies to you.
- If you move to Free (cancellation or failed payment, after Paddle’s grace period), your Premium links keep working until their expiry date, for at most 30 days from the change. Links without an expiry end 30 days later. We will notify you by email. You cannot create new links while you have more than 5 active.
- We may change prices and plan features with prior notice; a price change does not affect the period already paid.
4. Acceptable use policy
This policy applies to every link you create and to every destination you edit later.
Prohibited content
You may not shorten or redirect to:
- Phishing, impersonation of brands or people, and any trick to obtain credentials, money or data.
- Malware, ransomware, disguised executable downloads and any harmful or unwanted software.
- Fraud, scams and unsolicited spam or bulk advertising.
- Child sexual abuse material and non-consensual sexual content.
- Violence and hate: incitement to violence, terrorism, harassment and threats.
- Illegal content, or content that infringes third-party rights such as intellectual property, privacy or personal data published without permission.
- Destinations that hide their origin behind other shorteners, redirect chains, scripts or credentials inside the URL.
- Attacks on the service, probing, overload, evading its limits or accessing other people’s accounts.
How we review
Every destination goes through automatic checks when you create a link and when you edit its destination: a blocklist of domains, an external threat detection provider (Google Web Risk) and our own rules for brand impersonation, executable downloads and suspicious redirects. The result decides what happens:
- Low risk: the link stays active.
- Medium risk: the link goes under review. It does not redirect until an administrator approves or rejects it, and it still counts toward your plan quota.
- High risk: we reject the link and record a strike on your account.
- Confirmed high risk (the threat provider flags it, the domain is on our blocklist, or the URL carries a username and password): we reject the link, suspend your account immediately, close your sessions and put your active links under review.
We re-check active links from time to time. If a destination becomes dangerous, we disable the link. Automatic checks can be wrong: if you think that happened, write to [EMAIL DPO] and a person will review the case.
Consequences
- Rejection or disabling of links. When moderation did it, you cannot re-enable them.
- Strikes on your account. Repeat offenses lead to suspension.
- Suspension or deletion of the account and blocking of the destination domain.
- Evidence preservation: we keep the security event (account, link, destination URL, detected signals and decision) for 12 months. Deleting your account does not erase it earlier. We may keep it longer if an authority or a legal proceeding requires it.
- Reports to authorities: we inform the competent authorities when the law requires it, and always when we detect child sexual abuse material.
How to report abuse
Use the abuse report page to flag a short link. Include the link and the reason. When there is immediate risk to others, we disable the link before the review is complete.
5. Measures and complaints
We may apply the measures in section 4 without prior notice when there is risk to others, and share information with authorities when the law requires it. Administrative actions are kept in an audit log.
If you think we took a measure by mistake, write to [EMAIL DPO]. A person will review the case and, where appropriate, approve the link or reactivate the account.
6. Your content
The links and their destinations are yours. You authorize us to process them only to provide and protect the service and to comply with the law. You are responsible for having the right to link the destinations you shorten.
7. Availability and liability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for the content of linked destinations, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the event. Nothing here limits non-waivable consumer rights.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the Privacy section. When you do, your links stop working and your data is handled as the Privacy policy describes.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We will publish the new version with its date and, if the change is significant, notify you by email with reasonable advance notice. Continuing to use the service after that date means accepting the new version.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. For any dispute, without prejudice to the rights consumer protection law gives you in your country, the courts of [CITY / JURISDICTION] have jurisdiction.
